The climate throughout the year tends to be on the colder side, with pleasant months consisting of June and July. There are 243 sunny days in the town, which is higher than the US average of 205.

Education
While there are no schools available in the quaint town, there are plenty of educational opportunities in the nearby cities. Manitou City is located just 9.6 miles away, and their school district includes the Manitou Springs High School, Middle School, and Elementary School.

Woodland Park is only 5.2 miles away from the town and has quite a few elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools in the Woodland Park Public School District.
Public Transportation
Residents of the town get around by their vehicles or with bicycles since there are many trails all around the town. To commute outside of the city, you can take a taxi or your transport to number 10 Old Man’s Trail to get to the bus terminal, which is connected to Colorado Springs and other cities.
The nearest airport is the Colorado Springs Airport, which is 26 miles away from the town, while the Colorado Springs East Airport is 41 miles off. The Denver International Airport is 98 miles away from the center of the area and offers shuttle services to get to and from the airport.
